Hikikomori Netsuke. (Winter 2020-2021)
A symbolic depiction of the contemporary hermit, the Hikikomori: Cut off from the world and society, maybe angry or deeply disappointed or just plain unable to cope with the expectations and demands of nowadays society and feeling so small and insignificant that you want to crawl into your shell and staying there forever.
Material: Boxwood Netsuke, colored with wood lacquer.
Marked with a Monogram of T and H in golden Urushi lacquer.
Measurements: 1.15 x 2 x 1.5 inch ( 2,8 x 5 x 3,7 cm)
